Kathleen H. Petrone
Manville- Kathleen H. Petrone, 78, died peacefully on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at RWJUH-Somerset. Daughter of the late John and Regina Cooke, Kathleen was born and raised in Somerville and then moved to Manville 57 years ago. Kathleen was a 1963 graduate of Somerville High School. She worked as a head teller for Somerset Trust Company in Bridgewater. She then was the co-owner of K.H. Cooke Traffic Sales and Servicing from 1981-1997. Afterwards, she began working at the Midland School, where she was a classroom aide, ran the fashion shows and helped facilitate their spaghetti dinners, retiring in 2000. Kathleen was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church in South Bound Brook, and member and treasurer of the Manville Senior Citizens. In addition, Kathleen helped in the organizing and planning of many senior trips throughout the year. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her, and will always be remembered as a loving mother who was a devoted caregiver to her daughter. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband of 57 years, Philip E. Petrone of Manville; children, Jeffery Petrone and partner, Tracy Sandhovel of Manville. Denyse Petrone of Manville; grandchildren, Jeffery E. Petrone of Bernardsville, Erica L. Petrone of Bernardsville; daughter-in-law, Patricia Petrone of Bernardsville; and sister, Patricia Roll of Bound Brook.
