Kathleen Mullen, nee Thomason, 74, of O’Fallon, IL, born September 21, 1942 in Denver, CO passed away on July 12, 2017 in Shiloh, IL. Kathleen enjoyed keeping busy by reading, playing with her grandchildren, sewing, crocheting, watching her favorite television shows and traveling.
Kathleen was a huge Denver Broncos fan as well as a huge fan of the television series, N.C.I.S. When N.C.I.S. was on, it was known not to talk to Kathleen while the show was playing. Kathleen had a passion for traveling. Some of her most memorable trips included trips to Europe enjoying the castles and the many countries that she visited. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Margaret Thomason, nee Yearout; husband, Daniel Joseph Mullen; and sister, Carol Ann Hansen.
She is survived by her children, Shaun Erin (Jessica) Mullen from Lake Forest, CA, Kari Kathleen (Terry) Spence of Picayune, MS, Kellie Lay (Richard) Spencer of O’Fallon, IL; brother, Gary Paul (Cindy) Thomason of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Colby Mullen, Sofia Mullen, Sarah Mullen, Trevor (Grace) Howard, Chase Lay, Misha Lay, Zachary Lay, Braedan Lay, Jackson Lay, Makenna Lay, Madison Lay, Camden Spencer, Kylan Spencer; great-grandchildren, Braylin Lay, Bentley Lay, Athena Murillo and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
