Born in Rome, N.Y. on March 3, 1945, to the late Carl & Ruth Taylor Stolo, she graduated from R.F.A. with honors in 1962. Kathy worked various customer service jobs in the area but her favorite job was working in her parent’s grocery store. On May 15, 1971, she married the love of her life, Leon B. Miller in Westmoreland. He passed away on Nov. 28, 1976. Kathy was a devoted wife, daughter, mother, sister, and friend. She was a kind, gentle, loving woman. Kathy’s life revolved around family and her happiest times were spent with them. Kathy was a “MA” to many.
Kathy is survived by her 3 children and 10 grandchildren; Matthew and (Melody) Miller of Rome, N.Y., a daughter Grace E. Miller of Rome, N.Y, Luke and (Cass) Miller of Parish, N.Y., and a “son” Billy and (Ruby) Case, Rome, N.Y. Her beloved grandchildren Jordan, Ian, Lily, Isabella, Noelle, Benjamin, Julia, Rachel, Joseph, and Eli. Also are special cousins Carol (Thomas) Burns of Lee, Diane Calenzo of Marcy, Colleen(Andrew) Burns of Osceola, and Roxanne (Leo) Ferlo of Beautfort,SC whom she helped raise.
Kathy’s favorite verse was “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Isaiah 41:10
