Kathleen Ann Anderson of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away at home on November 15, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
Kathleen was born on September 4, 1952, in Wood County to Albert and Jeannine (Kroll) Heiser. She attended Snyder Grade School for 1.5 years and then went to the “new” Vesper Grade School and also graduated from Lincoln High School and Mid-State Technical College.
She married the love of her life, Russell Earl Anderson, on May 12, 1973. They were happy to celebrate their wedding day on her parents’ 25th wedding anniversary. The Lord blessed them with 48 years of marriage. Russell was always there for our family, no matter what – and was always fixing things again and again and keeping us on the right track.
Although she held many side-line jobs over the years, after college she worked at B & B Implement (John Deere dealer). In between, four children came along – and the best job – stay-at-home Mom! As the children grew, her last place of employment was Family Natural Foods – best place ever – working for the Hittners – her second family – they always stood behind her and the family through thick and thin. We will be forever grateful for all the friends we made there.
Kathy was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She was a “tag-a-long” with her mom from little and up and then stepped into her shoes for Ladies Aid, Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, Sunday School teacher, BBQ dinners and many more family dinners for those who went home to be with the Lord. She soon learned how much “coffee” to put in the big silver pots – just like Mom did.
She always tried to make note of things for gifts to give others – some serious and a lot “funny.” She loved to see their faces or get a call from them – some little things to make someone’s day.
She was always grateful (not at the time) for her dad making her plant potatoes in the fish oil hole (yuk!) – but the crops she grew – oh my!
Kathleen is survived by her loving and amazing husband Russell, their children Randy (Holly) Anderson and grandchildren Zak and Kaya; Jennifer Anderson (Steven) and grandchildren Ariel (Storm), Malachi (Courtney); Rhonda (Jim) Pahnke and grandchildren Marta and McKenna; Matthew (Jessica) Anderson and grandchildren Henry and Jack.
She is further survived by brothers Ralph Heiser, Paul (Pam) Heiser, Jeff and sister Krissy (Ryan) Rugroden and their families, and uncle Charles Schroeder.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, and sister-in-law Becky Heiser; sweet little grandson Adler Roelli; and many aunts and uncles.
The family would like to thank the staff of UW Cancer Center and Aspirus Comfort and Hospice for all of their wonderful care and concern (giving us smiles) and Kathy was also truly blessed with families and friends who prayed for her always – thank you to everyone!.
But, most of all, Mom – how long will we love you – Always!
