Kathleen Anne Schaaf, 75, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital.
Kathleen was born on October 9, 1946 in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and was adopted at the age of three by George and Lucinda (Van Asten) Bushmaker. At the urging of her parents, she found all 11 of her siblings. She was united in marriage to Roger Schaaf on October 15, 1966. They stayed in the Rudolph, Wisconsin area before moving to Georgia in 1987. They moved back to Wisconsin Rapids in 2018. She enjoyed gardening, bowling and she could make anything grow. Her family was number one to her.
She is survived by her husband Roger; daughter Dawn Schaaf of Pennsylvania; grandchildren: Adam (Mindi) Woodward, Dustin Woodward, Amanda LaBarge, and Dylan Woodward, all of Wisconsin Rapids; great-grandchildren: Mason, Aiden, Corbin, Jace, and Heidi; brothers and sisters Mary Ann Ladick, Phylis (Vernon) Halverson, Marilyn (Kenneth) Reils, Richard (Sharon) Krajewski, Raymond (Carol) Krajewski, Dennis Tittle, John (Yaeko) Ruprecht, and Cindy Hill; and half-brothers and sisters Jerry (Kathy) Sackmaster, Jean (Mike) Stengle, Jim Stackmaster, and Wayne (Rhonda) Sackmaster. She is also survivied by her special friend, Tracy Mumford, from Georgia.
The family would like to thank the staff at Aspirus Riverview Hospital Intensive Care Unit and especially nurse Sarah; The UW Cancer Center and Dr. Ronnie Kirschling.
