Katherine Sue Zell, age 79, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021.
She was born on June 14, 1942 in New Castle, Indiana to Charles and Ina (Lee) Hill. She married Donald E. Zell on November 2, 1963.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ina Hill; sisters, Patricia Anderson and Ladena Fisher; brother, Robert (wife Joanne Hill).
Katherine is survived by her children, Rita L. Bowers and Tammy L. Ensminger, both of Shelbyville, and Randy L. Zell of Fairland; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jack and his wife Gloria Hill of Rushville; sisters, Vicky and her husband Larry Hadler of Greensburg and Geneva Ramey of Indianapolis.
A retired hairdresser, Katherine also worked at and was a longtime member of The Shelbyville Moose Lodge, Eagles, VFW, and the American Legion. She loved spending time with her family and got excited every time the family grew bigger. She grew up surrounded by her large family. She was influenced by her family to be a loving and caring woman, always giving her time to others.
