Katherine Rebecca Matthey Thomas died May 31, 2017 in Parkville, MD. She was born March 6, 1919 on Indian Run in Harrison County, WV; a daughter of Julius and Della Cunningham Matthey. On October 2, 1937; she married Charles Porter Thomas of Jarvisville, WV, who preceded her in death October 24, 1981. She survived all her brothers and sisters: Erlo Wilson, Cecil Ingram, Opal Mae, Edna Pearl, Clarence Ame, Julius Raymond, Frederick George, James Allen, and Forest Warner.
She was a loving mother to Anne Marie West, Judith Arlene Shaffer, Charles Porter Thomas II, Jewel Sue Garonzik, Fanny Mae Janack; and had seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
