Katherine graduated from Yorktown High School, class of 1946 and later married the love of her life, Verlin Bothel in 1950 and he preceded her in death in 1990.
Survivors include, one son, Wayne Bothel (wife-Kathy), Yorktown; two daughters, Karen Adkins (husband-Danny), Yorktown and Sue Werking (husband-Dan), Avon; one sister, Evelyn Marsh, Gaston; two brothers, Rollin Eugene (Gene) Ward (wife-Wanda), Yorktown and Ralph Ward (wife-Loralee), Muncie; one sister-in-law, Helen Bothel, West Lafayette; Grandchildren, Allyson Werking, Levi Bothel and Paula Hollins, Justin and Jason Werking; great grandchildren, Victoria Lawson, Max and Madison Werking; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband of 40 years, Verlin, she is preceded in death by her parents.
