Katherine A. Fish, 80, of West Bend died on November 8, 2015 at the Palo Alto County Hospital in Emmestburg. Katherine Ann Fish was born on November 27, 1934 to Clarence and Anna (Franks) Hentges in Whittemore, Iowa.
She attended Presentation Academy in Whittemore, graduating in 1952. Katherine worked at the Plantation Supper Club and then as a telephone operator in Algona. Katherine married Richard Fish on April 23,1956 in Whittemore, Iowa. Together, they owned and operated a bar and restaurant, an office equipment and supply store and a liquor store. In her later years, Katherine enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, helping her customers at the liquor store and couponing.
She is survived by her son, Clayton Fish of West Bend; daughter, Catherine Hayes of Kansas City, Missouri; grandchildren, Samantha Marie Hayes and Sarah Katherine Hayes of Kansas City, Missouri; sister, Jane Simmons of Algona; brother, WIlliam Hentges of Kodiak, Alaska; and three beloved cats. Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard in 1997 brother Gerald Hentges.
