Katharina “Hilde” Wright
1925-2013
Mrs. Wright, “Hilde”, 88, went to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s on Thursday, June 20, 2013 in the presence of her loving husband of 60 years, Howard.
She was born April 12, 1925 in Schwetzingen, Germany near Heidelberg, Germany to Peter and Barbara Abt.
Hilde was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be missed greatly by many.
Hilde is survived by her husband, Howard; son, Karl; daughter-in-law, Liz Abt of Woodbridge, VA; brother, Bernhart Abt of Vancouver, Canada; granddaughters, Sandra Pilkington of Stafford, VA, Natalie Abt of Woodbridge, VA, Cathy of Cheyenne, WY; grandsons, Roy, James, Howard of Cheyenne, WY and Scott of Manhattan, KS; and numerous cousins, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
She loved crafts and working with her hands. Her greatest joy was making clowns, angels, and many other dozens of other items which she took to the sick children at the children’s hospital in Pensacola, Fl each Christmas and Easter.
