Karyn Louise Beasley, 61, died Friday, May 29, 2015, in Newnan, Georgia, after a courageous battle with cancer. Karyn was born in Plant City, Fla., and spent most of her life in the Savannah area, most recently in Effingham County.
She was a graduate of Savannah High School and retired from the United States Postal Service, where she served as a rural route carrier in the islands area. She enjoyed dancing and spending time with her family. Karyn was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Fowler, her husband, John L. Beasley Jr., her brother, Lamar Fowler, and her father, Herschel Fowler.
Survivors include her children, James Beasley of Atlanta, Geri Armstrong and her husband, Patrick, of Douglasville, Michelle Steward and her husband, James, of Guyton, Stacey Smith and her husband, Robert, of Faulkville, Dana Morrison, and her husband, Chris, of Faulkville, sister Lynda Webb of Grantville, brother James Fowler and his wife, Karan, of Eden, aunt Billie Maloy of Ozark, Ala., her beloved grandchildren, nieces, a nephew, and cousins.
