Mrs. Karen Mary Wall Bowser, 56, of Troutman passed away on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Surry County on Oct. 13, 1953, to Herbert James and Dorothy Mae Dowell Wall of Statesville. Karen was the loving, caring and devoted wife of William Lee Bowser for 28 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Troutman where she was active in serving the youth. She also served on the Town of Troutman Planning and Zoning Board.
Karen was a graduate of South Iredell High School and held a business administration degree from Mitchell Community College. She was a former manager at Family Dollar Stores, Wendy’s and Mom & Pop’s Restaurants, and was affiliated as a real estate broker with Century 21, ERA Real Estate and Allen Tate Realtors. Karen was the owner/broker of Bowser Associates Real Estate.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by two sons, John Holman and Will Bowser; three sisters, Donna Dillard, Debbie Mills and Lori Blankenship; and two grandchildren, Kathryn
and Tyson.
