Karen Marie Boden, age 56, of Negaunee, formerly of Gladstone passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, following a brief illness.
Karen was born May 15, 1960 in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter of Joseph and Betty (Aicher) Boden. She was raised in Gladstone and graduated from the Gladstone High School in 1978.Karen was a loving mother and had an infectious laugh that would brighten the mood of anyone she encountered. She was caring and compassionate towards others and put everyone’s happiness before her own. Karen enjoyed anything outdoors, arts and crafts and cooking.
Karen is survived by her son, Josh Tellefsen of Escanaba, her daughter, Rachelle (Fiance’ Adam Esquibel) Alanko of Marinette; her brothers, Jeff (Carol) of Gladstone, Brian (Debbie) of Flat Rock, Greg of Menominee, Tim (Pam) of Escanaba and Tony of Cedar River; her sisters, Becky (Wayne) Robitaille of Gladstone and Heidi Boden of California and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents , her brother, Mark and her sister, Rachelle Boden.
