Those left to honor Junior’s memory are his 2 sisters, Virginia Shaver and Dorothy (Max) Rabourn, all of Newton, Iowa; his step-daughter, Deniece (Jim) Wright of Houston, Texas; step-son, Carl (Sherry) Munn, of Houston, Texas; his 4 step-grandchildren, Ed (Shelly) Wright of Dallas, Texas, Bob (Stacey) Wright of Ohio, Deanna (Randy) Newcomb of Houston, Texas, and Scott (Lesley) Munn of North Dakota; several step-great-grandchildren; his 2 nephews, Steve (Deb) Rabourn of Ft. Smith, Arizona and Curt (Mindi) Rabourn of Newton, Iowa; 2 great-nephews; his 4 great-nieces; and several cousins, good friends, and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Roy and Elise (Yardley) Shaver; wife, Virginia (Munn) Shaver in 1987; and his sister, Bonnie Norris.
Junior was a production worker at the Maytag Company for 30 years, retiring in 1980.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge and Izaak Walton League.
