Junice M. Deaton age 82, of Ashland, died Wednesday November 30, 2011 at the Hospice House. Mr. Deaton was born August 17, 1929 in Primerose, KY., the son of Millard and Reba (Jewell) Deaton. Mr. Deaton had been a resident of Ashland county most of his life. He retired from the Ashland City Parks after 35 years. Mr. Deaton attended the Lighthouse Pentecostal Assembly. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and sitting in the park.
On June 11, 1959 Junice married Rose (Yoders) Deaton who preceded him in death in 2008. Survivors include his sons and daughters in-law, Ronald and Ruth Deaton of Delphos, Ken Deaton of Mansfield, Jeff and Kendra Deaton of Ashland; his daughters, Cynthia Miller and Fiancee Ron Waters of Ashland, Carol Kitts of Ashland; his daughters in-law, Brenda Deaton of Ashland, Lisa Deaton of Oklahoma; special friend, Raymond Ables of Adario; 13 grandchildren; along with his 15 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rose; sisters, Ruby Clark and Martha Ables.
