June Rountree Hood, 91, passed away February 12, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Clyde and Nellie Rountree. She is also preceded in death by her 2 husbands, Vernon Kirkman Rountree, and Joseph A. Hood; son, Chuck Rountree; and brother, Terry Rountree.June was a faithful member of Suffolk Christian Church. She was a wonderful cook, especially her coconut cakes. She is survived by her children, Edith Matthews, and Gene Rountree of Suffolk; stepdaughter, Fran Nelson; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
