June Renée Clark Stansel passed away in her home on August 11, 2022,
in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.
faith were the hallmark of her 84 abundant years of life. Renée was born
March 10, 1938, in Parker, Idaho to Dorothy Smith and Ellsworth Marion
Clark. Renée was the third of nine children and the oldest daughter, with
two sisters and six brothers.

She spent her early childhood in Idaho, then moved to Salt Lake City
where she graduated from South High School. Renée went on to study at
the University of Utah and graduated with a degree in Elementary
Education. While a student, she met John Stansel, a friend and former
mission companion of her older brother, Norman. Renée and John were
married in the LDS Salt Lake Temple on June 23, 1960.

Shortly after their marriage, Renée and John moved to Pasadena, CA for
John’s continuing education at CalTech. Renée worked in Pasadena as an
elementary school teacher until her first child was born in 1963. In the
following years, six more children blessed their family. Renée cherished
motherhood and considered her children her greatest gifts. She was
gentle, generous, and lovingly dedicated to her family and friends.

Saints and a lifelong disciple of Jesus Christ. She served two full-time

volunteer positions throughout her life.

Renée loved to paint, sew, and spend time tending to her beautiful roses,
vegetables, and citrus trees. True to form, the results of Renée’s garden
harvests would end up in the homes of friends and neighbors.

Renée is survived by her siblings John Clark, Mary Ann Koski, Richard Clark,
and David Clark, her children Carol (W. Chris), Jean (Chad), David
(Kim), James (Kristina), Robert (Emily), Amy (Mike), Andrew (Amy), and
foster son Owen (LaVerne), as well as thirty-two grandchildren and
eighteen great-grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by her parents,
husband John, sister Dorothy, and brothers Norman, Robert, and Charles.
