June M. Cameron, age 87, of Lavallette, N.J. passed away on November 24, 2014. Visitation will take place at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 809 Central Ave., Seaside Park, NJ on Monday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. A memorial service will be offered Tuesday 11:00am at the Union Church of Lavallette. Burial will be private. Born in Hackensack Hospital, she was retired from Congoleum Corporation in Kearny, N. J. after 17 years of employment. Mrs. Cameron was a member of the Jr. Woman’s Club in North Arlington and a Past President of the North Arlington Woman’s Club. She was a Deacon in the First Presbyterian Church of North Arlington. Mrs. Cameron was born in Hackensack and lived in the Kearny, North Arlington area, and Harmon Cove in Secaucus.
She graduated from North Arlington High School. A summer resident since the 1950’s she retired to Lavallette in 1991. After moving to Lavallette in 1991, Mrs. Cameron joined the Union Church of Lavallette where she became a Deacon and a member in the Woman’s Aid Society. She was an active member of the Heritage Committee in Lavallette and a member of the Daughters of Scotia, Flower of Scotland Chapter #258.
Predeceased by granddaughter, Morgan K. Cameron, June is survived by her husband of 67 years, Lachlan Cameron, a daughter Carol Cameron Glassman, a son David Cameron with wife Dorothy Cameron, grandson Cameron Kruger with wife Ania Kruger, granddaughter Brooke Reichert with husband Chris Reichert, grandson Brian Kain with wife Susan Kain, Brenda Irwin with husband John Irwin, six great grandchildren, Dylan Cameron Kruger, Riley, Tommy, and Joey Irwin, Sabrina and Caitlin Kain and many more extended family members and treasured friends.
