June (Maine) Cropper, 89, of 68 Cross, St, Westerly, RI, died suddenly March 14, 2007 at the Westerly Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick H. Cropper.
Born in Westerly, RI, on June 28, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Wilson D. and Belva (Brown) Maine.
June graduate was a graduate of the Westerly Public Schools and of Rhode Island College of Education now Rhode Island College.
Mrs. Cropper was a teacher and principal for many years in the Schools of South Kingstown and Westerly.
She was a member of the National and Rhode Island retired teachers association and Rhode Island College Alumnae.
June was an avid golfer and a member of Elmridge Golf Club for many years.
June and Fred loved to travel and did so extensively.
She was a member of Grace Methodist Church in Westerly for many years.
June is survived by her cousins and caregivers, Ronald E. Brown and Gail Brown Galli.
