Our Beloved June Jean Lee passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017 in Garner, NC.
She was born on June 3rd of 1939 in Berrien Springs, MI, the daughter of Mr. August Heimbuch (Mary) and Mrs. Bertha Rudowske Heimbuch. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Lila Heimbuch Elliot and granddaughter Victoria Lee Vargas. She has a surviving twin sister, Jane J. Peters, from Sparta, TN.
On May 30, 1959 June married Donald R. Lee and they raised a wonderful family together. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Mr. Don Lee (Susan), Mrs. Dorinda Carter (James), Mr. Jim Lee (Heather), and Mr. Lonnie Lee. Also surviving are grandchildren Brittany, Donald, Kenny, Trevor, Kaitlyn, Kayla, Keri and Tricia; great grandson, Ayden; and several nieces and nephews.
June worked in several jobs but her most rewarding one was being a loving devoted Christian wife and mother who stayed home and enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She participated with the kids in numerous sports and many different school activities throughout the years. Her favorite hobbies included hours of fishing off the pier at their Lake Norman home, gardening, canning, sewing and crocheting. She also enjoyed all kinds of sports and activities such as football, softball, bowling, tennis, camping, hunting, swimming and racing.
