June Louise Patrevito (nee Gardner), passed away peacefully, Sunday May 14, 2017.
June was born December 13, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois to Helen and William Gardner. Her family moved to Crete, Illinois, where they owned the Gardner Picnic Grove. She married Albert Alex Patrevito in 1947 and lived in Steger, Illinois with their three children.
They owned and operated Home Nursery & Landscaping before retiring to Bourbonnais, Illinois, building their home on a twenty acre lake. June began painting during this time period, which was in addition to their many activities together of fishing, boating and entertaining family. The last twenty years, June enjoyed traveling to many countries, including Italy, Switzerland and Australia, as well as many cruises throughout the Caribbean.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, and her sister, Phyllis Kreidler. She is survived by her children, Sharon Patrevito of Bourbonnais, Thomas (Marianne) Patrevito of Hinsdale and Donna (Gene) Portelli of Minnesota, eight grandchildren; Joseph (Jiesi) Patrevito, Daniel Patrevito, Michael Patrevito, Vincent Patrevito, Mia Patrevito, Tom Portelli, Sophia Portelli and Isabella Portelli, one sister, Helen Patrevito of Homewood, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
