June Henderson, 71, of Lanett, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at the West Georgia Medical Center in Lagrange.
Mrs. Henderson was born in West Point, Georgia on June 30, 1951 to the late James Robert Moore and Jessie Swann. She was also preceded in death by her husband Buck Henderson, father, Emmett Swann, brother, Bobby Moore, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jack and Lucy Henderson, God daughter, Rita Bledsoe, brother-in-law, Bryant Thompson, and one of her best friends, Tina Landreth.
June was co-owner of Henderson and Henderson Concrete.
June spent the last years caring for family members and friends including her elderly mother and her mother-in-law, Lucy Henderson. June also developed a close relationship with Leland, her great nephew, spending time with him and making sure he was always at Springwood for events and extracurricular activities.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Henderson-Wood (Joel); best friend, Johnny Landreth; siblings, Ann Messer (Billy), Norine Moore, Laura Smith (James), Nita Thompson, Brenda Gillilan (Bobby), Emily Rivera, sister-in-law, Nancy Howard (Gray); her loyal Schnauzer “Lucas” and her grandson, “Omar” the pig.
