June Annette McConnell Utz, 71, of Gooding, Idaho died peacefully at home June 8, 2021 with her husband of almost 52 years at her side.
June was born on April 27, 1950 in Gooding, Idaho, the daughter of Alvin and Eula McConnell. She was raised in the rural farming community of Tuttle, Idaho along with two dear brothers and a close sister. She held dear many memories on the farm before her family moved to Gooding around 1963. She was also very proud of her class that graduated from Gooding High School in 1968.
June attended Idaho State University in Pocatello before returning to Gooding to marry Kerry Lee Utz on August 10, 1969. She worked for a short time at Cook’s grocery and then began raising her two sons Aaron (1971) and Brian (1974). Once her sons were raised, June worked for Volco building supply (later renamed Franklin) from 1990 to 2007. From that time, she kept books for Utz Electric until retiring in 2016.
June is survived by her husband, Kerry Utz; her son, Aaron Douglas (Darolyn) Utz of Bliss, Idaho; daughter-in-law Tiffany Utz; as well as grandchildren Brylea Cathleen (19), Easton Cole (16), Austyn June (12), and Savanah Lee (8).
June is preceded in death by her parents Eula and Alvin McConnell; siblings Bruce, Rex, and Pam; and her son Brian.
