Julius B. (Junnie) Festa of Woodbridge, died peacefully on Feb. 20, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Rosemarie Dolci Festa for over 63 years. Junnie was born in New Haven on April 6, 1932, son of the late Nicola and Mary Pascale Festa and was a lifelong resident of Woodbridge. He was a master carpenter who settled for nothing less than perfection in all his work.  He began his early career building homes alongside his father and then spent over 40 years working with The Fusco Corporation. Junnie was a kind and wonderful man, always willing to lend a hand or share a smile. He enjoyed tending to his garden, singing Sinatra tunes, and backyard parties with family and friends. More than anything else, he enjoyed being with his family, including his many nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved and was most proud. He touched the lives of so many people with his kindness and generosity, and will forever be remembered as a devoted husband, and loving father and grandfather by his children – daughters Kristine Festa and Pamela (Festa) Mangini; his beloved son in law, Michael Mangini; and his loved and adored granddaughter, Melissa Mangini. He was predeceased by a daughter, Angela Festa and his brother, Ernest (Gene) Festa. His warm smile and gentle heart will be dearly missed.
