Julie Rose Westbrook, “Gizhibaayaabate”, which means Circle of Smoke, 28 years young, began her journey to the spirit world on Thursday, August 31, 2017 from Sanford Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota. She was born in Bemidji, Minnesota on December 22, 1988 to Thomas and Barbara (Prentice) Westbrook.
Julie grew up and lived in Redby all of her life. She graduated from Bemidji High School. Her pride and joy was her son, Bellamy. He was named after her favorite music artist, Matt Bellamy of Muse. She loved being Auntie to her nieces and nephews who enjoyed spending time with her because she was young at heart. Julie loved to read, at times three to four books at once. She would thoroughly research any subject that took her interest. If anyone needed help with fixing their computer or information on virtually anything, she was there. Her passion for knowledge and sharing information was truly a gift. Julies humor, big heart and love for her family and friends will always be remembered.
Julie is welcomed to the spirit world by her brother; Lee Prentice, maternal grandparents; Marian and Paul Prentice, paternal grandparents; Winifred and Oscar Westbrook, special grandma; Elsie Fairbanks, numerous aunties, uncles and other relatives.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son; Bellamy Westbrook of Redby, parents; Barbara and Thomas Westbrook of Redby, sisters; Anna Westbrook of Bemidji, Ashley (Simon) Brun and Lindsey (Rain) Westbrook both of Redby, brothers; Joey Kettle and Chad (Nicole) Prentice both of Redby, Thomas “TJ” Westbrook of Detroit Lakes and Jared Westbrook of Bemidji, special niece; Crystal May-Prentice, many aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
