Julie Jean Simon, 65, of Indianapolis, formerly of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away on July 4, 2022.
Julie was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Patrick McLeod and Jeannie Wallace. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Julie enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren and her extended family. She was an avid crocheter and loved to make clothes and toys for her friends and family. She enjoyed playing bingo and was an avid fan of love stories, be they books, tv shows, or movies, she loved a happy ending. She was kindhearted and never quite managed to figure out how to tell someone who needed her no. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She taught those around her how to be accepting of others and how to be a part of an extended family without hatred, to choose love and acceptance instead.
Julie is preceded in passing by her husband Robert Simon; her father Patrick McLeod; and her mother Jeannie Wallace.
