Julie A. Rivers, 68, of Bethlehem, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 in Easton Hospital. She was the wife of the late, Philip F. Rivers, Jr., who died in 2009. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Joseph S. and Margaret (Angerman) Filo. Julie was a graduate of Liberty High School, Bloomsburg University and later received a Masters Degree from Lehigh University. She was a business teacher and later was an Assistant Principal at Freedom High School for 37 years, until retiring in 2004. Julie enjoyed shopping, Bingo, the Casino, dining out, the mountains and family pets. Survivors: sisters, Shirley A. Richards and her husband, Robert of Bethlehem and Deborah M. Sikler and her husband, John of Bethlehem Twp.; a nephew, Robert Richards, Jr. his wife, Tracy and their sons, Reid and Ty of Apex, NC, a niece, Tara Reitz and her husband, Adam of Bethlehem and her sister-in law, Rhonda E. Rivers of Vermont.
