Mr. Julian Devane (Deputy Dog) Cooper 59 of 3609 Bond Street,(formally of Clinton), died Wednesday September 22, 2010 at City of Oaks Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Julian DeVane Cooper (Deputy Dog), son of the late Amie Cooper and Letha-Mae Cooper, was born February 20, 1951 in Sampson County.

He entered into his final resting place at City of Oak Nursing Center Facility in Wake County on September 22, 2010. During his early years, he attended Roseboro-Salemburg High School and received his high school diploma in 1969. Julian had a love for Peterbelt trucks, which he drove as a long distance truck driver for several years. He also loved to collect hats and cowboy boots. Julian enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Julian was one of a kind. He was known for his loud and junk talking. He will be truly missed by his family and friends.

Those left to cherish Julian D. Cooper’s memory are; two daughters Jennifer Faye Williams and Barbara Letha Cawley both of Raleigh NC; two sons Julian Arnette “Teddy” Cooper and Demetrius DeVane Vann both of Raleigh, NC;. Six sisters, Annie Cooper, Mary Raynor, Helen Parker, Grace Cooper, Essie McNeil and Janice Sykes all of Clinton NC; three brothers Fitzgerald Cooper of Clinton NC, Dennis Cooper of Raleigh NC, and one preceding his death Terrance Keith Cooper; five grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
