Lotsis1944~2022Julia P. “Judy” (nee Pfautz) age 77 of Norristown, PA formerly of Lansdowne, PA passed away on April 15, was born on April 20, 1944, was raised in Lansdowne, PA attended St. Philomena elementary school, then attended Archbishop Prendergast High School. She earned her Associate degree as a bookkeeper. For 25 years she was an Administrator at the University of Penn Perelman School of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases. The Department grew from three Research Fellows to over seventy Infectious Disease Research Fellows. Under the stewardship of the esteemed Research Chairman Harvey Friedman, M.D. She specialized in research grant submissions and the recruitment of Research Fellows. Judy was very active in the community. She was President of the Lansdown Girls Club – 1978 . She was the founder of the St. Philomena Garden Club to support the grounds landscape and served as the President for eight years. She also served as secretary of the reunion committee for St. Philomena’s Alumni Association. She volunteered at the “Neighborhood League Shop” in Wayne, PA for almost 10 years, a shop dedicated to raising money for children with Autism. Judy started her own baking business at 66yrs. old called “Judilicious” where she would attend craft fairs with her treats. Judy’s specialty was her famous pumpkin and zucchini bread where she would sell out each time. Judy loved spending time with her five grandchildren and attending their sporting events. She had a residence in Marmora, New Jersey and loved Ocean City’s 55th Street Beach. She will be greatly missed. Predeceased by her husband Andrew, her sisters, Sara Abate, Karen Gilbert and Joanne Bibby-Pfautz.Survived by her sons, Andrew Z. (Lora) and Kevin (Kelly) Lotsis; her 5 grandchildren, AJ, Jenna, Kyle, Luke and Xander; her also, many cousins’, niecesand nephews.
