On Saturday, February 13, 2016, Julia Bojanowski, 94, passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Born in Podstene, Croatia on June 19, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Anton & Paulina (Zagar) Markovcic and was a New Britain resident since 1959. She was predeceased by her husband Tadeusz Bojanowski and a daughter Maria Wojciak. She is survived by her loving children Stanley Bojanowski and his wife Linda of Plainville, Joanne Bojanowski of New Britain, Anton Bojanowski and his wife Annie of Meriden, Ann Bojanowski of New Britain, & Rosemarie DeArmond and her husband Steve of Fort Wayne, IN. She also leaves behind 9 cherished grandchildren; John Wojciak and his wife Jayna, Sandy Wojciak, Kristin Bojanowski, Tim Bojanowski and his wife Stephanie, Josh & Jonathan Bojanowski, Richie Kwapich, Justin Kwapich, Lydia Rose Mockensturm and her husband Jeremy and 4 great grandchildren Lewis Mockensturm, Miles, Adelaide, & Frances Wojciak.
