Julia Joyce “Judy” Brungardt, 79, of Newton died on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at the Unity Point Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Judy, the daughter of Vernon and Myra (Valentine) Wearmouth, was born on October 22, 1940 in Monroe. She grew up in Coalport and Monroe; graduating from Monroe High School in 1959. Judy was united in marriage with Al Brungardt on July 6, 1959 in Newton. They made their home in Monroe until the mid 1980’s when they moved to Newton. Judy received her CMA degree from DMACC and worked at many Newton area nursing homes.
