Judy Ann White, 66, of Elkhart, passed away following a brief illness at Elkhart General Hospital on Wednesday, May 13.
She was born Aug. 8, 1948, in Elkhart, to the late Charles and Margaret (Hatton) Hawkins.
She married Ralph White Sept. 3, 1964, in Elkhart. Affectionately known as the “Lawnmower Man,” he survives at home.
Also surviving are her daughter, Dolly (Shannon) Fales of Elkhart; her son, Ralph White Jr. of South Bend; brother Raymond Hawkins of Edwardsburg, Mich.; sister-in-law Cathy Parot of Elkhart; grandchildren Sarah and Brian Fales of Elkhart; and her little pal “Boomer,” the peek-a-poo.
Preceding her in death were her son, Timothy White; a brother, Ricky Hawkins; and a sister, Sandra Jacobs.
Judy worked more than 30 years in the local RV industry and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was an avid bingo player and bowler, and she was a loving mother and wife who enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends. She will be best remembered for her friendly ways and for never having known a stranger.
