When Judith Elaine Aspey, 67, of Flagstaff, AZ, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 we lost one of the kindest, most warm-hearted and selfless souls to ever walk among us. Judy died in her home surrounded by her family who loved her dearly.

She was born in Phoenix in 1949 to William (Bill) and Jeanne Carver and was a lifelong Arizona resident. She attended St. Simon and Jude, St. Francis Xavier, and Central High School where she graduated in 1967. Judy followed in her mother’s footsteps in attending the University of Arizona where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and graduated in 1971 with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing.

Her daughter, Cara Cunningham, was born in 1978, and her son, Jake Cunningham, was born in 1982, both in Phoenix. She moved to Flagstaff with her husband Mark Aspey in 2001 where she lived happily for the past fifteen years. She was a wonderful friend, a loving sister, a devoted wife, and the world’s most thoughtful and caring mother.

Judy will be remembered lovingly by many, including her children, Cara and Jake, her husband, Mark, his children, Dr. Brad Aspey and Krystal Fleischmann, her sisters Cathy (Carver) Kaufman and Carolyn (Carver) Kelly, as well as her dearest friend of over 50 years, Shelley Herseth. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Jeanne Carver, and her husband’s son, Brett Aspey. She will forever be greatly loved and sorely missed.
