Surrounded by people who love her, Judith Andrews Beiderbecke, 73, of Jacksonville, Illinois passed away on April 25, 2014. Judith was born on July 6, 1940, to Sam and Winifred Hagan Andrews. She is preceded in death by her sister Janice Lindsay. She is survived by her niece Mary Lindsay and great niece and nephew Natalie and Mister Joy.

Judith grew up in Libertyville, Illinois and attended Sacred Heart in Lake Forest from the age of six through her years at Barat College. She began her career as an executive secretary at the American Dental Association in Chicago. After marrying Richard Bix Beiderbecke in 1973, she moved from Chicago to Decatur, Illinois. She and Bix later moved to Davenport, Iowa and then on to Jacksonville where she lived happily for 39 years. In Jacksonville, Judith was the executive secretary for the superintendent of schools until her retirement in 1992.

Judith was an active member of the community and a loyal supporter of the arts in Morgan County. She enjoyed many years on the stage as a member of the Jacksonville Theater Guild and the Coonridge Players, most notably in her role as Mame. She was a Master Gardener, charter member of the Wednesday Night Martini Group, and a member of the Monday Conversation Club. She loved to travel, to cook, to host wonderful parties, and took great delight in her many friends. Her love of animals was well known.
