Judith Anne Truman, 67, of Freeport, died Friday, February 13, 2004 at the Stephenson Nursing Center.

Born September 7, 1936 near Rock Grove she was the daughter of Gerald and Clara (Schurch) Crone. The Freeport Masonic Temple employed Judy as a secretary for more than 30 years, retiring in 2003. She was a graduate of Orangeville High School, a 40-year member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, and an active member of Eastern Star and White Shrine. Judy’s nurturing and guidance impacted the lives of many people as a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, Sunday school teacher, neighbor, and friend.

She is survived by three children, Phyllis (Michael) Bauch of Freeport, Shirley (Duane) Welte of Aurora, and Dean (Debra) Truman of Freeport; five grandchildren, Amy Roberts (fiancé Kurt Schnoor), Tyler Bauch, Kyle Welte, Adam Welte and Hailey Truman; two great-grandchildren, Austin Maynard and Raegan Maynard; four brothers, Donald (Donna) Crone of Freeport, Dr. Clifford (Ireta) Crone of Naperville, Dr. Lawrence (Susan) Crone of Whitewater, Wisconsin, and David (Susana) Crone of Wausau, Wisconsin; five nieces; five nephews; five aunts; and one uncle. Her parents; one nephew; and two aunts preceded her in death.
