Mrs. Judi Modlin Allen, 72, of Graham went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 7, 2017.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Lacy B. Allen, Jr., and the daughter of Edward Paul Modlin and Ida Alene Jones Modlin both deceased. Judi retired from Lucent Technologies in 1999. She was later employed for two years with the Alamance-Burlington School System and then with Alley, Williams, Carmen & King, Inc. until December, 2006. She attended Belmont Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband of the home, survivors include a daughter, Nikki Holland and husband, Scott of Chapel Hill; a son, Marty Glasgow of Mebane; four grandchildren, MaKenzie Holland, Christian Holland, Chloe Glasgow and Jeremy Glasgow; a step-daughter, Nicole Allen of Graham; two sisters, Ruth Martin and husband, Allie and Vickie Lynch and husband, Tim; a brother, Bill Modlin and wife, Edna of Saxapahaw; two brother’s-in-law, George Robinson of Burlington and Howard Kernodle of Efland; aunt and best friend, Evelyn Justice of Graham; three special, high school friends, Linda Moser, Sarah Foster and Wanda Ellington; and two special friends, Eleanor Johnson of Graham and June Byrd of Burlington.
Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Hannah Rae Holland; two sisters, Jo Ann Robinson and Alma Kernodle; two brothers, Larry Modlin and Jim Modlin; and her sister in Christ, Bea Janey.
