Jude Kay (Wilkins) Johnsrud, 82, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021, at MercyOne Hospice in Johnston, IA.
Jude was born June 11, 1939 in Glendive, MT to Raymond and Winona Wilkins. She graduated from Dawson County High School in Glendive, MT. While attending Creighton University, Jude met Leon Johnsrud. They married in 1961 and had two children, Stuart and Jackie, whom they raised in Cresco, IA. In 1980 she moved to Johnston, IA.
Jude was deeply devoted to caring for others and leaves a legacy of love for her family, neighbors and friends. She regularly blessed others with her gift of hospitality. Jude spent countless hours volunteering and also loved to read and go to movies. But the absolute joy of her life was being a mom to Stuart and Jackie.
Jude is survived by her daughter, Jackie (Jeff) Gordon of Bondurant, IA, brothers Jim Wilkins of Ft. Dodge, IA and Rob (Susan) of Pendleton, SC, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Stuart, sister Mary Ann and former husband, Leon Johnsrud.
