Juanita F. (Bubbles) Sanchez Vega, Nov 15, 1930 – Oct 31, 2016
Juanita (Bubbles) Sanchez Vega age 85, of Fruita, answered the call from her Lord on 31 October 2016 with her family by her side.
She is survived by her daughter Cynthia Vega, son Gerald Vega and wife Sheri. Two grandsons; Caleb Vega from Rogers, AR. and USAF Senior Airman Joshua Vega assigned to Joint Base San Antonio, Ft Sam Houston, TX. One brother, Eulogio (Buddy) and wife Betty Sanchez from Bonita CA. and one sister, Leona and husband Richard Chavez of Denver CO. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Juanita is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Vega Jr., parents, Jose Leon and Juanita (Valdez) Sanchez.
Brothers; Emilio, Leon, Max, Ernest and Gilbert Sanchez. Sisters; Helen Garcia and Maggie Ortiz.
Juanita was born Nov 15, 1930 to Jose Leon and Juanita Sanchez in Monticello, Utah. Juanita attended and graduated from Latin American Bible Institute (LABI) in Isleta, TX in 1952.
While attending bible school, she met Gene and later married on Dec 21, 1952 in Fruita, CO. She lived in Austin, TX from 1952 through 1996 then relocated to Fruita to be near her siblings and other relatives.
Juanita was a member of Emmanuel Christian Assembly of Fruita. She was a Children’s Sunday school teacher for over 50 years, teaching three generations.
She was a lady of great faith and was often seen reading her bible or singing wonderful hymns of praise and worship as she went through her day.
Her favorite Bible Scripture was Psalm 27:4. She was a loving mother and grandmother, sister, aunt and a friend to many.
We will greatly miss her and are comforted with the knowledge that she is in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
