Juan “John” Colon, 69, of Newington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 25, 2012, with his wife Francisca by his side. Born in Anasco, Puerto Rico, December 2, 1942, he retired from Merrow Machine Co., Newington, after 30 years of employment, and was a member of St. Peter Church, Hartford. He is survived by his wife Francisca, his son Johnny, and his grandson Joshua Lee all of Newington; his mother Margarita of Wethersfield; his brother Pedro of Long Island; his sisters Mariana Feliciano and Margarita Carrero of East Hartford. He leaves behind an array of family members who loved him dearly, along with his dog Toby II. He was pre-deceased by his father Juan, his daughter Daisy and brother Francisco.
