Joyce N. (Braley) Wilcox, 86 of Cranston sadly passed away surrounded by her loving family on February 9, 2023. Born November 9, 1936 in Providence to the late Harold and Gladys (Peters) (Braley) Sylvia. She was the loving mother of the late Major Deborah (Wilcox) Gingrich from Claremont, Florida.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years Harold W. Wilcox as well as sons Keith Wilcox Sr. (Deborah) and Kirk Wilcox Sr. (Kathleen) all of Cranston. She was the mother in law of James Gingrich of Claremont and sister of Harold “Buddy” Braley Jr. of Cranston. In addition she is survived by eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren and was expecting her first great great grandson in June.
She was the former President of the Hawthorne Elks Lodge #2240 in Hawthorne, California serving 1975-1976. She had worked for Monet Jewelry of Warwick as an inspector from 1978-1996 before retiring. Joyce along with her husband Harry enjoyed traveling and had been on many cruises. They were both avid bingo players attending numerous local bingos including games at Foxwoods for many years.
