Darlo “Joyce” Cooper Shaw passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018 after a hard fought battle to continue to live a life she loved. Joyce was a person of faith and her kindness to everyone made her loved by all. She was active in the dance community and a strong leader of the Heber Spring “Jitterboppers” as one of the Charter members. Her spirit of sharing her joy of the dance will always be remembered by those who knew her.
She leaves in sadness her sons, Kevin Shaw, grandaughter Savannah Shaw and Judd Shaw, daughter-in-law, Courtney, two grand children, Cayleigh and Connor Shaw, her sister, Marilyn Cooper Pearcy and brother, Archbishop David Cooper and special family, Phil Alvis and Shanna and Clay Jennings and Pam Pruitt.
She was preceded in death by her parents Delmar and Lou Cooper and husband William Shaw and long term partner Ben Pruitt. She will be missed by her loving family and hundreds of friends. Rest in Peace our wonderful mother, sister, “Mimi” and friend you were a patient and kind soul.
