Throughout the years, she volunteered for many worthy organizations and projects. While living in Algona, she was involved with her husband in supporting the Kossuth Shrine Club activities and the Shrine Hospital in the Twin Cities. Joyce had been employed at the Pamida store in Algona and Honsbruch Drug. She loved to do crafts and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Left to cherish Joyce’s memory is her daughter, Julie Droessler of Bancroft; two sons, Mark Reed and his wife Kelly of Austin, MN and John Reed and his wife Julie of Algona; nine grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren; a sister, Betty Reed of Jefferson; and five brother-in-laws and their wives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son-in-law, Richard Droessler; and a brother, Herbert.
