LeFevre, Joyce Marie(Thorne)Bay City, MichiganMrs. LeFevre passed away peacefully Thursday, June 27, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Age 81 years. She was born March 5, 1932 in Flint, Michigan and has resided in this area most of her life. Joyce was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, she was a foster parent for forty years and was formerly employed at K-Mart and Disney Land in California. She attended T.L. Handy High School, graduated from Bay City Central High School and graduated from Saginaw Valley State University Summa Cum Laude in Fine Arts. She was an avid bowler and an outstanding artist.

On October 7, 1967 she married her husband of 45 years William J. “Bill” LeFevre in West Baptist Church and he survives her passing along with seven children and their spouses; William “B.J.” and Joanne LeFevre of Bay City, Viki Marie and Jeremy LeFevre-Hartwick of Muskegon, Jason J. LeFevre and his fiancé Staci Jackson of Kansas City, Kansas and Shannon White of Bay City and Kaytlen Marie LeFevre of Bay City, one step daughter; Laurie Dayle and Roger LeFevre-Veitengruber of Bay City, one step son; Lane Merton and Natalie LeFevre of Sanford, step daughter-in-law; Morag LeFevre of Sanford, twenty six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one sister; Shirley Sicherd of Bay city, many foster children, brothers-laws, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; William Earl and Myrtle Thorne, one step son; Lance LeFevre, brothers and sisters; Clark, Bruce, Margaret, Kenneth, Richard, Robert, Phyllis and Paul, her father-in-law and mother-in-law; William J. and Mathilda (Kruger) LeFevre and one brother-in-law; Bernard Grappin.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at McLaren Bay Region, The Carriage House and Hospice Advantage for the kind and compassionate care they gave to Mrs. LeFevre during the time they cared for her.
