Joyce Marie Johnson, 69, passed away Wednesday afternoon, November 17, 2010, at her residence in Muncie, IN, with her family at her side. She was born January 21, 1941, in Alliance, Ohio, the daughter of John and Marie (Lenn) Richards. She graduated from Timken High School, in Canton, Ohio, in 1959, and form Olivet Nazarene College, Kankakee, Illinois in 1965.
Mrs. Johnson was an elementary school teacher.
Surviving are her husband, Rev. James D. Johnson, to whom she had been married forty-five years; her son, James Mark Johnson, (wife, Stephanie), Muncie; two daughters, Heather Joy Towriss, (husband, Dan), Carmel, and Rachel Anne Martin, (husband, Jeff), Daleville; seven grandchildren; her mother, Marie Pullin, Canton, Ohio; two brothers, John Richards, Eugene, Oregon and Jim Riley, Ohio; two half-sisters, Becky Ehart, (husband, Joe), and Sharon Stead, both of Canton, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
