Joyce Ann Guthrie-Stoneking, 79, went to be with the Lord, Friday, January 1, 2021. She was born July 29, 1941 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Harry L and Daisy E (Crutcher) Shaw.

On May 15, 1960 she married Howard Guthrie; they later divorced in 1988 but remained close friends.

Joyce worked at Woodland Hospital and MRMC as a cardiopulmonary Therapist for about 15 years before deciding she wanted to attend college for her business degree. On April 13, 1996 Joyce married Robert Stoneking of Moberly.

Joyce was a devoted member of North Park Baptist Church. She loved teaching Sunday School and doing various activates that the church offered for the children such as, the Eternity House and Vacation Bible Study; those were definitely her favorite by far! Joyce and her late husband Robert volunteered for the food bank and actually ran it for several years. She loved spending time with her family and friends and loved taking her grandchildren and great grandchildren to church with her. Joyce loved animals, reading, and anything art! She was a joy to all who got to be around her. She always made people laugh and smile.

She is survived by her three children: Michael Guthrie, Christopher Guthrie, and Shelli Apel and husband John, grandchildren: Brittney Apel (Raymond), Kristen Apel (James), Chelby Apel (Nicholas), Sonja Guthrie and husband Lee, Dilland Guthrie (Quinsie), Jewell Guthrie, Christopher Guthrie (Tiffany), Kim Guthrie, Shawn Guthrie and wife Fallon, Jessica Barney, Janelle Copeland and Shawn Blauvelt, and Jennifer Copeland, great grandchildren: Dakota Apel, Kayden Nash, McKayla and Jaisten Payne, Alexis, Nevaeh, Molly, Hayden, Emmaline, Teyton, Tiernan Guthrie, Denver Nation and wife Paxton, Dalton Barney, Damien, Jaxson White, Maddison, Isabella Copeland-Blauvelt, Kendra, Chace Mundy, and Tatum Copeland.

She is preceded in death by grandparents Harry Shaw Sr. and Frances Shaw, husband Robert Stoneking, great grandsons Bradion and Bryce Copeland-Blauvelt, and great granddaughter Ellayna Wilson.
