“Joyce G. Don, 84, of Manchester, beloved wife of Richard S. “Dick” Don, passed away suddenly, with her family at her side, Saturday, May 14, 2016, at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Joyce was born May 10, 1932, in Flushing, Long Island, daughter of the late Morton and Blanche Gilday (nee Levitt). She and her family had resided in Manchester, Connecticut since 1963. Joyce and her high school sweetheart, Dick, celebrated 63 years of marriage. Joyce was a gifted teacher of English to generations of high school students, inculcating each one with her love of reading and writing.
