Joyce Elaine (Measday) Rose
Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt, Joyce Elaine (Measday) Rose passed away December 8, 2021 from Dementia. She was born May 6, 1932 in Ogden, Utah. She was the oldest child of Arthur Palmer Measday and Maud Elizabeth (Miller) Measday. Her siblings were lda May (Measday) Gill, Marianna (Measday) White and Arthur (Junior) Measday. She spent her early years in Clearcreek, ldaho. The family then moved to Ogden where she met her future husband Darrel Jay Rose at the White City Ballroom. They were married June 7, 1947. Later they were sealed for all time and eternity in the Ogden LDS temple.
Together they raised 6 children. Daniel Jay Rose (Bonnie), Gerald Arthur Rose (Robin), Michael Allen Rose, Judy Elaine Schmidt (Sam), Marylou Chard (Steve) and Kathleen May Orton. During their married life they lived in Ogden, Kanesville, Morgan and the 50 years in West Point. The last four years at Family Tree Assisted living Center in West Point.
Mom worked at DDO, IRS and HAFB. Joyce was best known for her beautiful quilts, pillow cases, doilies, apple pies, and her beautiful yard. She love horticultural and music. She played the piano, organ and guitar for many years. She and Darrel loved to dance.
She is survived by 4 children, 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 children and four grandchildren

She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
