Joyce A. Troyer, age 79, of De Kalb, IL, died Saturday, March 5, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Otto Wigner and the late Eva Mae (Clark) Wigner. She was born on February 27, 1932 in Letts, Indiana. She grew up attending Fairmount Schools and was crowned Homecoming Queen in 1949. Her escort to the Jr./Sr. Prom was James Dean.
Married in 1950 to Forrest Troyer, Joyce was a supportive wife and a loving mother to her four children. The family moved to Lafayette, Indiana, Urbana, Illinois and St. Paul, Minnesota while Forrest continued his education. The family lived in Mankato, Minnesota forfor 20 years and St. Louis, Missouri for four, before spending the past 29 years in DeKalb, Illiniois. Joyce enjoyed sewing, furniture restoration, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She will be dearly missed by her husband Forrest and her daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren and sisters. Three Daughters :Anne ( Chuck) Sherwood,Barbara (Steve) Witz, Catherine Troyer. She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Troyer and her siblings Barbara Justus, William Wigner, Sharon Thomposn and Phyllis Haynes.
