Joyce Ann (Beckwith) Picard, 54, of Albuquerque, passed away December 4, 2016, after fighting a long battle with Cancer. She is now with her Heavenly father and has been reunited with her mother, Joanne F. Beckwith.
She is survived by her father, Dean Beckwith, and his wife, Emma Beckwith, of Morton, Illinois; her two daughters, Kristina and Kaitlyn and their father, Rusty Picard, all of Albuquerque; her brother, Kendall Beckwith, of North Carolina; her sister, Donna (Randy) Dahmm, of Washington, Illinois; her nephews, Zackary and Austin, and her niece, Brenna. She is also survived by Dave LeSar, Laura (Darren) Hopp, Lynda (Jeff) Freed and many other nephews and nieces.
Joyce was a special education teacher for more than 20 years. She worked for Rio Rancho Public Schools for 13 years. She loved the students she worked with and was always grateful for the staff she worked alongside. She enjoyed her women’s bible study and providing sandwiches for the homeless. During her free time, she loved to do crafts, garden and have lunch with her friends. She enjoyed life to the fullest and always had a smile to share. Her favorite saying was, “Live well, love much and laugh often.”
On behalf of our mother, sister and daughter, Joyce, we would like to thank the many special caregivers and thoughtful friends who kindly attended to our mother’s needs during her battle with cancer.
