Joshua Andrew Smart, 18, of 6575 A. L. Philpott Hwy., Martinsville, VA died Sunday, July 3, 2011 at his home. He was born on February 17, 1993 in Martinsville, VA to Terry Warren Smart and Ginger Denise Matherly Smart of the home. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Smart, Lewhy Matherly and V. Frances Wolfe and step-grandfather, Luther Wolfe. He was a member of New Beginnings Worship Center, Martinsville, VA and graduated from Carlisle School. Joshua had completed an internship with the Martinsville Bulletin and was to attend VCU, Richmond, VA in the fall. Surviving in addition to his parents are his brother and sister-in-law, Jonathan Warren Smart and Brittany Smart of Sierra Vista, AZ; grandmother, Hazel Smart of Axton, VA; nieces, Chloe Smart and Isabel Smart and several uncles, aunts and cousins.
